Difficulties in translation to or from English:
Although English is generally considered an easy language to learn and speak, many of its features are difficult to translate into other languages.
One such example is the verb-adverb combinations, in English called "phrasal verbs" (examples: turn off / on, mark up / down, come in, etc.). The other languages use a word namely a verb, to describe an action.
Another obstacle is the article; for example, Slavic languages have no articles, making a translation from English into Slovenian, let's say, a bit complicated.
After all, every language describes the world around in its unique way and therefore there are cases where the translator must perform a "trick" to express a reality in two or more languages.
For example, in Gaelic or Japanese, there is no separate word for blue respectively green. Moreover, in the popular Japanese cartoons, anime, water appears very often as coloured green and not blue. Under these conditions, the translator must have knowledge of aspects of language and culture, which is more difficult to do than it looks like.
